The 2007-2008 academic year marks my sixth year as a secondary English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher for Ankeny Community Schools.  I serve English Language Learners (ELLs) in grades 6-7 and 10-12 that attend Parkview Middle School and Ankeny High School.  I am a traveling teacher and divide my time between Ankeny High School in the morning and Parkview Middle School in the afternoon. 

 

I am originally from Davenport, IA.  I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in December 2001 with a BA in English Language Arts (7-12) and the ESL Endorsement (K-12).  Currently, I am working toward a MATESOL degree from the University of Northern Iowa.

 

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, watching movies, hiking, biking, geo-caching, and spending time with family and friends.
